In 2013 I was approached by the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor to create all aspects of design for their annual Holiday Pops concert. From signage, posters to program each piece was presented to and approved by the members of the club.
As a Production Artist for Emerson Fry part of my job description was to create email layouts for their email marketing campaigns. Each layout was designed from start to finish which included image touching, layout design to uploading to the email marketing service provider.
I created this Fall/Winter line catalog from shoot to print. From image touching to layout and dealing with the print company during press-check.
As the Production Artist for Emerson Fry a major part of my job description was to enhance raw photos and create visually dynamic images for both web and print. Part of this process includes shaping, skin touching and lighting.
Electric Ad Series – 8.5"x11"
Since the first wave of Arab Spring revolutions swept across parts of the Middle East and Northern Africa. It has been increasingly debated whether or how much social media tools played a role in these movements. Some observers deemed these tools so effective for organizing protests and revolutions in the toppling of regimes in Tunisia and Egypt that the uprisings were described as Twitter/Facebook revolutions. But did social media really change the interpersonal, political and global communications in the Arab world? If they did, did these changes in communications create new opportunities for social movements that brought about Arab Spring? With this question in mind I decided to research the usage of social media tools and their effect on a number of current revolutions. The information gathered is displayed visually through a number of infographic pieces created to be displayed in a gallery setting.
Vintage Travel Poster – 11"x17"
This vintage feel was created by a choice of typography as well as color scheme.
With my enjoyment of the outdoors in mind I created an invented map of Tuckermans Ravine, the challenge was to display as much information as possible while keeping the piece visually pleasing. The use of Typography creates a sense of hierarchy with peaks and runs. Showing information with the use of original symbols which are displayed in the key. This was created strictly in Illustrator and made print ready with CMYK colors for the final product.
Rolling Stone Spread
Inspired by the work of Fred Woodward I created this spread commemorating John Lennon's 70th birthday. Woodward's use of typography has been an inspiration in my designs.
Earth Day – 11" x 17"
The objective of this infographic was to create a piece of visual information that pertained to a global issue within our oceans for Earth Day. The issue of the earths ocean acidification due to the production and release of CO2 is a major threat to the entire ecosystem within our oceans. Since the start of the industrial revolution the carbon dioxide we pump into the air has been filtering through the oceans and slowly acidifying them. If emissions remain unchecked, the oceans in 40 years will be more acidic than anything experienced in the past 20 million years.
Portfolio Day – 16" x 20"
NORTICA AD 8.5" x 11"
I created this magazine ad for Nortica skis to market their new High Rise Rockers. Sticking with the branding of the company I was able to create this ad with the freedom of design as well as sticking to their strict branding rules.
